The protection of infrastructure is a central security issue. Cyberattacks, sabotage, and hybrid threats, as well as the increasing threat posed by unmanned systems, present new challenges for operators of energy and water networks, transport routes, healthcare facilities, and other critical infrastructures. There is a continuing demand for technological and operational solutions, for example, regarding the detection, defense, and secure handling of drones.
International cooperation is a vital component of this effort. Bavaria and Israel bring unique and complementary strengths to the table. Due to its security situation, Israel had to address the protection of critical infrastructures and new threat scenarios at an early stage, leading to the development of an internationally leading ecosystem for cyber and security technologies.
